With much regret, Raquel Suarez, the former housekeeper of 30 years to Frank Sinatra, put the 1986 Chrysler LeBaron short limousine she received as a gift from him, up for auction.
"This was his car. Anytime he went to dinner parties or restaurants, this was the car he rode in," Jason McCormick, manager of McCormick's Palm Springs Collector Car Auction's, said of Sinatra. All the paperwork and documentation with Sinatra's signature, including bill of sale & registration card, was included. Although he was unsure what the limo would bring in, McCormick estimated between $10,000 and $100,000. When all was said and done, it sold for $16,000.
